That madman and genius: Antoni Gaudí

Antoni Gaudí is for me the most universal Catalan architect. He was born in Reus, next to the sea and to the mountains. His origins left their prints firmly on his own development. The young Gaudí grew up in a family of artisans who imbued in him a sense of precision, as his father was inspector of weights and measurements, the faithful regulator of measurements for the Reus Town Council.

In 1878, Gaudí was qualified as an architect. Elies Rogent, director of the Barcelona College of Architecture, said at that time: "We've given our diploma to a madman or a geniuous: time will tell us which one he is".

He left us many worder as Palau Güell, Casa Calvet, Casa Batlló, Casa Milà or La Pedrera, Col.legi Teresià, Güells pavilions.... all them in Barcelona and outside Barcelona, El Capricho in Comillas, Casa de los Botines in Leon, GÜell Crypt in Santa Coloma de Cervelló... and so much and all them amaziing ......

This video talks about The Sagrada Familia Church, maybe the most emblematic piece of Gaudí. Enjoy the video !
